Bea Arthur's House is For Sale For the First Time in 35 Years
The home hasn't been on the market since at least 1980.
There's little we don't love about the late The Golden Girls actress Bea Arthur, so we were excited to find out that, for the first time since at least 1980, her California house is on the market. The home, built in 1924, features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two offices, and a media room. According toCurbed LA, The Golden Girls star lived here from 1975 until 2009, when she passed away.
The 7,085-square-foot stunner sits on 3.7 acres in Brentwood, California, and boasts a tennis court, on-site hiking trails, and circular pool. The interior is no less grand, with vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Curbed reports that Bea's son, Matt Saks, gave the ranch-style home a top-to-bottom renovation in the '80s, and the estate has belonged to a trust in Bea's name since she passed away. The asking price is a hefty $15,995 million, but lucky for us, looking is free:
